Thousands of wasps take over bedroom after owner leaves window open
LOCK ALL THE windows. Lock all the doors. The wasps – they are mobilising.
A three-foot wide wasp nest took over the spare bedroom of a house in Winchester, England after the owner left the window open.
Local pest controller John Birkett told the Hampshire Chronicle that there were at least 5,000 wasps contained in the room.
“In 45 years I have never seen anything like it,” he said. “It was the most incredible thing I’ve seen.”
Incredible? Maybe, to a CRAZY PERSON.
Here they are slowly building their nest over what should have been a lovely comfy bed:
The owner of the house had reportedly not entered the room for three months before her son opened the door and spied the nest.
More horrific details from pest controller John Birkett:
Despite seeing what appeared to be a hellmouth opening in front of him, Birkett was a bit guilty about killing all the wasps.
“I looked at [the nest] and thought ‘what a shame’,” he said. “It was a work of art and they worked so hard, but she looked at it and said ‘No no no – you’ve got to get rid of it.’”
Nightmares. Tonight, and every night.
